During a trip to eastern Syria and the Erbil International Airport on February 20 our expert photographed the area impacted by rockets fired on February 16. We met with the personnel who were stationed at the site and learned about the casualties, including a contractor who was killed.
Several structures were damaged. They appeared to be mostly empty inside or have been used as storage for water and other items. For details on the unprecedented attack, read our piece here.
